A lot has been going on since we last saw you..
First the Bad News; Duane has been battling Bladder Cancer for the past 12 months. And it has been a full time job for me to help manage his Dr. appointments and the side effects of the Chemo treatments.
But… the Good News! After (3) 3 month rounds of different Chemo formulas that could not slow this aggressive variant down, we think the Doctors have found one that is working!
The tumors are shrinking!!! ๐
It was such a relief, I felt like I was able to take my first breath in 12 months.
(This photo was taken on one of the many trips we took to The Fred Hutch Cancer Center in Seattle. In Nov. 2024, we were told by a Bladder Cancer Specialist that Duane had 5 months, at best to live… can you imagine that mind set?)
We would like to thank our friends and family who have been with us every step of the way…
We love you and are forever grateful to you all…
Thank You!
Over this last year we were so fortunate to find two perfect garden angels, Jordan and Alyssa. They busted it out last season and the farm produced buckets and buckets of blooms, all of which they successfully sold to local florists and Leah at Flora Deschutes! Flora Deschutes is primarily a wholesale florist market of local and nearby grown flowers, however they are open to the public on weekends!
Please go visit Leah at her beautiful flower market and houseplant shop in the Winco business park.
We truly believe Jordan and Alyssa were sent to us on angel wings! I can’t wait to introduce you to them!
(Stay Tuned for the next post!)
In the meantime, you know me, my wheels are always turnin! but this past year really took a few notches out of my cogs.. But now that I can look at the calendar without wondering what my world might look like next year or even next month, and I’m excited to get back to the business of FLOWERS, but Jordan & Alyssa will continue to run the wholesale side of the flower farm I’m hoping to offer workshops and possibly re-open the garden shop and maybe even the nursery?
I’m missing my connection with you all so much!
I’m still not sure what the plan is, but I’m raring to go and we will be ready to welcome you back at Celebrate the Season this Spring!
